How can I join The Fire Department?

If you are interested please email firechief@roselandnj.org or stop by on any Thursday night at 7:30pm to learn more about joining! 

What is the minimum age required to join?

The minimum age for the cadet program is 15 years old while the minimum age for membership is 18. 

What is the process like to join?

After reaching out to the chief, you will be directed to fill out an application along with other required documents needed to join, Upon submission of these document your application will be sent to be approved by the town council, upon approval by the council you will become a member of the department. 

What is the training like?

All members are trained in the following 
-SCBA Use
-Riding equipment 
-Deploying ladders
-Hitting Hydrants
-Proper usage of radios 
-Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) 
-Layouts of all apparatus 
and more. 

What days and times do we meet?

We meet on the following days at 8pm 
1st and 4th Tuesdays- Drill Night 
3rd Tuesday- Membership Meeting (*Cadets are not allowed unless said otherwise by The Chief*)
Every Thursday- Maintenace Night
